Let’s face it, software programmers and architects tend to be nerds, and nerds don’t usually have the greatest social skills (our senior architect chose a graphing calculator over a car for his high school graduation present). Maybe that’s why most online marketing solutions don’t play well with other systems, such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Maps, mobile devices, PayPal, Microsoft Office, and other desktop applications…you know, the other technologies you and your customers rely on to get business done.
Having gotten out of the computer lab a few times and realizing the error of his ways, our senior architect is now committed to interacting on a number of levels. Software is like a tree. It starts out with a fresh young trunk of core code and a few branches of features.
